EVERY ITEM YOU BUY CONTRIBUTES TO SOMETHING BIGGER

Toro & Tides was built by someone living with a traumatic brain injury.

Recovery didn’t end — it just became part of life. But this isn’t just one story. It’s a global need for better recovery support.

That’s why we donate $1 from every item sold to help sponsor real rehabilitation.

Our goal: to fully fund recovery programs for people who would otherwise go without.

These programs help survivors regain function, dignity, and quality of life — one step, one session, one person at a time.

This isn’t a marketing gimmick.

It's personal - because this brand was built in the thick of it. Not after the struggle. Not beyond it. But right in the middle of learning how to live with it.

And we believe that if you’ve found even one step forward, you help the next person behind you.

THE TORO & TIDES STORY

After a traumatic brain injury changed everything, our founder was left navigating the unfamiliar —

physically, mentally, emotionally.

The world moved on. He had to relearn how to move with it.

Recovery wasn’t a straight line.
Some days felt like fighting upstream. Others, like drifting with no clear direction.

There were moments of pain, frustration, and fog but also glimmers of clarity, quiet strength, and slow progress.

That space, between what was and what’s next, is where Toro & Tides was born.

The Toro stands for grounded resilience. Not the raging bull, but one that holds its strength with intention —

steady, still standing even in the storm.

The Tides represent surrender. Not giving up, but learning to move with the waves,

to rest when needed, and rise again when ready.

Toro & Tides is for anyone who's had to rebuild in body, in mind, in life.
For those still in it. Tired but still showing up. In their own time, in their own way.

This isn’t just clothing. It’s a reminder that progress doesn’t have to be loud to be real.

DID YOU KNOW?

WHY TBI RECOVERY MATTERS

Every year, an estimated 69 million people worldwide suffer a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

That’s one person injured every 0.5 seconds — from car crashes, falls, violence, or sports. They can happen in an instant, to anyone.

Many survive. But survival is just the beginning. Recovery can take months, years, or a lifetime.

THE COST OF RECOVERY

Recovery is long, difficult, and often financially impossible.

  • The average medical cost of a severe TBI in the U.S. is over $100,000.

  • Insurance rarely covers the full journey — leaving survivors and families to carry the burden.

These aren’t just bills. They’re barriers to healing.

THE LONG TERM IMPACT

A TBI can affect how someone moves, speaks, thinks, or feels — often permanently.

This can mean cognitive challenges, emotional shifts, physical impairments, identity loss and social isolation

And because brain injuries are often invisible, survivors are frequently understood the least when they need support the most.
